Gentle Hatha Yoga
Gentle or slow movement yoga, is designed to be accessible to anyone, irrespective of any limitation. It combines both stationary and movement based poses, aimed at gentle stretching, gradual strengthening and improved balance. Focus is on slower movement, linked with the breath, encouraging "mindfulness" during the practice.
My classes are suitable for beginners, the more experienced and people suffering chronic health conditions, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, as well as lower back pain, anxiety, stress, high blood pressure and inflammation.
As we age, greater importance and emphasis needs to be on improving our overall health and wellbeing - physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually.
Class numbers are smaller, with greater emphasis on individual attention and guidance.

My journey into yoga commenced many years ago, after dealing with a major life change and uncertain future. I have always been very interested in a healthy lifestyle, and found practicing regular yoga brought me a wonderful sense of calm and inner peace, as well as greatly improving my physical and mental health. This is what I try to bring into each and every class, whilst getting great satisfaction in seeing my students reaching their own potential and growth.

What is Slow Movement Yoga?
As a yoga teacher, my aim is to offer a more conscious and mindful yoga practice, free from any kind of performance pressure, with emphasis on developing body awareness, proper alignment and the ability to relax.
